24, of Somerville, Mass.; assigned to the 101st Special Troops Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky. / last duty station being Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany; died August 7 at Forward Operating Base Gamberi, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Also killed was Sgt. Jermaine B. Jordan.
